FIGO statement important call to action.
Well, this was a REAL thrill to get interviewed and quoted in this important piece by Lynne Peeples for this exception article and kudos to the 'early adopter' health systems making this issue a priority! This article is responding to a groundbreaking October 2015 statement by the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO), an organization of obstetrical and gynecological associations from 125 countries.
“Exposure to toxic environmental chemicals during pregnancy and breastfeeding is ubiquitous and is a threat to healthy human reproduction…Preventing exposure to environmental chemicals is a priority for reproductive health professionals everywhere.”
